VALGA COLLECTIVE

Collective Residential Building

The Valga Collective Residential Project consists of the development of a building for collective residential use located in the municipality of Valga (Pontevedra) , designed under criteria of energy efficiency, space optimization and architectural sustainability.

 

With a constructed area of approximately 422 m² , the building will house 8 bedrooms distributed in various housing types , with indoor and outdoor common areas designed to maximize user comfort.

 

This project reinforces NOVATERRA MBC's commitment to developing innovative, sustainable, and high-quality residential solutions, adapted to the Galician urban context and the current needs of modern collective housing.

CONSTRUCTION CHARACTERISTICS

Foundation and Structure

  • - Reinforced concrete structural system with one-way floor slabs.

  • - Shallow foundation with footings and retaining walls.

  •  

Roof and Joinery

      - Non-accessible inverted flat roof.

      - Windows with double glazing, low-emissivity coating, and solar control.

Facade and Thermal Envelope

      - ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite System) - 80 mm with acrylic finish in neutral tones.

      - Aluminum exterior joinery with thermal break.

      - High-density XPS thermal insulation and waterproof membrane.

Interior Finishes

  • - Ceramic flooring and high-resistance floating laminate floors.

  • - Smooth walls finished with washable eco-friendly paint.

  • - Plasterboard ceilings with recessed LED lighting.

INSTALLATION AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY

  • Air conditioning system: air-water aerothermal heat pump.

  • ACS: production using renewable energy.

  • Lighting: Comprehensive LED system with presence sensors in common areas.

  • Ventilation: mechanical system with heat recovery.

  • Expected energy efficiency: Class A, with almost zero consumption.

SUSTAINABILITY AND EFFICIENCY

The project is part of NOVATERRA MBC's sustainable construction strategy, with a special focus on energy savings and emissions reduction:

 

  • High-efficiency thermal envelope (SATE + XPS).

  • Aerotermia as the main air conditioning and DHW system.

  • Use of recyclable and low-maintenance materials.

  • LED lighting and natural ventilation optimization.

 

These measures reduce overall energy consumption and ensure operations with near-zero CO₂ emissions.

Located in the urban center of Valga, the project is part of a well-established residential area well connected to the province's main transportation routes.

Its strategic location on the Pontevedra-Santiago de Compostela axis facilitates access to services, transportation, and commercial areas, while maintaining a peaceful, natural environment characteristic of the Galician interior.
